Debbie Deasy

Debbie Deasy is a registered Psychologist providing mental health and counselling services in Faulconbridge and Springwood, Blue Mountains NSW and is a qualified trainer. 

Debbie has over 20 years of counselling and 10 years of adult training experience.  Her passion is for empowering clients via counselling and through continuing education.  This passion has grown to a desire to assist both organisations and inspiring counsellors as they work with clients.

Throughout Debbie’s academic life, she has received training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy.  Debbie has travelled to remote communities in the world and worked in remote and regional NSW. 

Through her own unique lived experiences, Debbie adopts an eclectic approach when counselling clients with issues including trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, transition issues, educational issues, relationship issues and self-harm/suicidality.

Debbie has provided counselling skills training to adults in both Sydney, Blue Mountains and country areas in NSW, specialising in delivering Diploma Counselling, Diploma Community Services, Cert IV Mental Health, Cert IV Alcohol and Other Drugs, Child Protection training along with specialised training as requested.


Tailored workshops can be provided to suit the needs of workplaces. Topics include Professional Boundaries; Effective Communication Styles; Professional identities; self-care and well-being; self-awareness; alcohol and other drugs; career and vocational; reflective feedback; professional values and ethics; professional etiquette; grief and loss.

Suzy has over 18 years of counselling experience.  She is passionate about supporting clients in confronting their issues in both individual and group settings.


Suzy adopts an eclectic approach when working with clients, using a wide range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy. 


These approaches assist clients work through presenting issues such as trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger, relationship issues, family and domestic violence.


Clinical Training and Membership
Suzy is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (level 4) and is registered for Workers Compensation referrals (SIRA) as well as some Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
